DJ The Mad Hatman was delighted to receive this  presentation and accolade  from Edinburgh's Lord Provost Lesley Hinds at the reception in The Assembly Rooms, George Street  on behalf of the Great Scottish Walk for 9 years organising & playing uplifting music and  motivating the walkers  before & during the Great Scottish walk.  Although this involved a great deal  of time organising and promoting the event for months before.Then setting up and playing on the day, at Meadowbank Stadium before jumping aboard "The original" open top  vintage  vehicle, I called The Boogie bus. Sometimes it even involved a lot of pain and (NEWS)  .but it was great to see happy faces whilst geeing up the crowd. which conjures up great memories of Mexican waves, giant congas and record length row boat dances on the turf. whilst  handing  out  “flowers” and prizes"   to cheering walkers ,crowds of tourists & locals. One year we even utilised a double deck bus which we found "not fit for purpose" but a handy stopgap if just playing music but The Mad Hatter gets up "close and personal"  as you can see from photos.  We started with 1,000 walkers and although I was not  promoting this year it was "surprising"  to see a huge numbers drop after previous year on year success.

Great Wee Scottish charity Walk Glasgow Green -23rd April 2006 - MAD HATMAN Disco's.  Families and charities enjoyed  music and a fun event as The Mad Hatman  travelled west again following the success last year. Earlier  Great Wee Scottish Walks in Edinburgh on  Easter Sunday  found The Mad Hatter  in  Princes Street Gardens under Edinburgh Castle . A  great family day out with top children's dj , entertainment and a picnic lunch.

Edinburgh Marathon 2006  Entertainment "THE MAD HATMAN"  DJ as featured on TV dressed  in kilt, yellow Top Hat  or cow parade hat  provided music, dedications and  created a great atmosphere at The Edinburgh Marathon from  The Mound,  Princes Street  and then  at the finish in Holyrood Park.      Photos or video of The Mad Hatter  at the Marathon  Contact Tommy >)    call 07889-363686.

 

The Mad Hatter seen supporting Scotland in Edinburgh outside Backtracks Music for Scottish events sorry to report theft of lucky kit (seen above at Scottish Rugby) . Now for Worlld cup South Africa  2010, do we get another kilt? The Mad Hatter may visit Rosslyn Chapel on the Da Vinci code trail to Roslin ? as the holy Graille The Scottish Cup still eludes Hibs . Well done to  Rangers now in  final of UEFA CUP in Manchester make Scotland proud win in style? Have a wee dram " PARTY'
