The Mad Hatman was delighted to receive entertainment
presentation and accolade from Edinburgh's Lord Provost
Lesley Hinds at the reception in The Assembly Rooms George
Street on behalf of the Great Scottish Walk for 9 years
organising, entertaining and motivating walkers before and
during Scottish walk. This involved a great deal of
organising and promoting the event for months before,
setting up and playing uplifting music at Meadowbank Stadium
then jumping aboard "The original" Boogie bus a single
deck open top vintage vehicle much better than a double decker
which did not allow "The Mad Hatter to get up "close and
personal" as you can see from photos. Great memories of
cheering crowds, walkers, tourists and locals with happy
faces. Mexican waves, giant congas and record length row
boat dances in the stadium whilst handing out “flowers” and
prizes". We started with 1,000 walkers which increased year
on year from 1,000 to 9,000 when I left. Then taken over by
another company and cancelled after a sharp drop in
numbers. A great pity!!!

Fringe parade: Great memories of being part of this
extravaganza in past years aboard float and Boogie Bus
entertaining fantastic crowds with a unique selection of
music from Scottish reels to upbeat party tunes in kilt and

Melville Garden Centre
Midlothian -The Mad Hatman entertained
all ages with a variety of laid back and uptempo tunes at
Summer fun day event with great comments from customers and
staff Subsequently another corporate music promotion event
was held in 2010 at Dobbies Dalgety Bay Fife as The Mad
Hatter introduced Birds of prey ie Canadian Eagle, Harris
Hawk and Barn Owls to kids.
Edinburgh Marathon Entertainment THE MAD
HATMAN DJ kilted presenter entertained (4
years) & was featured on TV dressed in kilt,
yellow Top Hat + cow parade hat providing
music, dedications and creating a great
atmosphere at The Edinburgh Marathon from
The Mound, Princes Street and then at the
finish in Holyrood Park or Next Generation
Complex - Newhaven. Mad Hatman Disco
Roadshow also set up at Port Seton Caravan
Park - providing great sound + music requests from a vast
catalogue for all ages and nationalities and
received glowing recommendations from
corporate clients and runners from all over
the world
