The Mad Hatman was delighted to receive this presentation
and accolade from Edinburgh's Lord Provost Lesley Hinds at
the reception in The Assembly Rooms George Street on behalf
of the Great Scottish Walk for 9 years organising,
entertaining and motivating walkers before and during Great
Scottish walk. This involved a great deal of organising and
promoting the event for months before. Then setting up and
playing playing uplifting music on the day at Meadowbank
Stadium before jumping aboard "The original" Boogie bus a
single deck open top vintage vehicle. Sometimes it even
involved a lot of pain see
(NEWS) but it was great to see
happy faces whilst geeing up the crowd. One year we even
utilised a taller double deck bus which we found "not fit
for purpose" but a handy stopgap if just playing music as
others do but The Mad Hatter got up "close and personal" as
you can see from photos. This conjures up great memories of
Mexican waves, giant congas and record length row boat
dances in the stadium whilst handing out “flowers” and
prizes", judging fancy dress contest to cheering crowds,
walkers, tourists and locals. We started with 1,000 walkers
and although I was not promoting last year it was
"surprising" to see a huge numbers drop after always
increasing year on year from 1,000 to 9,000 .A pity to hear
it was cancelled for 2009!!! and now GONE.

Melville Garden Centre
Midlothian - The
Mad Hatman entertained all
ages with
variety of laid back and uptempo tunes in June
at Summer fun day event with great comments from
customers and staff
Subsequently another corporate music promotion event
was held in 2010 at Dobbies Dalgety Bay Fife
as The Mad Hatter introduced Birds of prey
ie Canadian Eagle, Harris Hawk and Barn Owls.

Walk Glasgow Green 2006 - MAD HATMAN Discos. Families and
charities enjoyed music and a fun event as The Mad Hatman
travelled west following previous success and also looked
after Edinburgh Princes Street Gardens event under Edinburgh
Castle
Edinburgh Marathon 2006 Entertainment THE
MAD HATMAN DJ as featured on TV dressed in kilt, yellow Top
Hat or cow parade hat provided music, dedications and
created a great atmosphere at The Edinburgh Marathon from The
Mound, Princes Street and then at the finish in Holyrood
Park.
The Mad Hatter seen supporting Scotland in Edinburgh outside
Backtracks Music and Murrayfield for Scottish events sorry
to report theft of lucky kilt (seen above at Scottish
Rugby). Now for Olympics London etc
The Mad Hatter may visit Roslyn Chapel on the Da Vinci code
trail to Roslin ? as holy Graille The Scottish Cup still
eludes Hibs maybe nezt year?

outdoor Music Entertainment and sound system @ MEADOWS TENNIS COURTS
for Edinburgh Leisure a highly successful
exercise to promote tennis in Edinburgh and
