From Haymarket train Station or the west end of Princes Street head up Lothian Road (the main artery) about 3/4 mile passing Poundstretcher, the New Bank of Scotland and MFI (closed) until you reach the Tollcross clock. This local landmark stands in the middle of the road at the main junction. From this position you can see Backtracks music shop about 60 metres down Brougham St just after the post office, just behind the bus shelter, on the right hand side of the road.
